Indeed, everyday should be Valentine's Day.

Knowing that Valentine's Day is a day of romantic love and as much as Mr. L and myself appreciate having a festival dedicated to celebrating those you love, we feel like this is something we should be doing every day, not just once a year. That said, we still try and find simple ways to make Valentine's Day meaningful for us.

This year, we celebrated Valentine's Day a little later, since Mr. Lhad a workshop to prepare on the actual day itself. Nevertheless, we still had a fun time celebrating our belated Valentine's Day on that weekend by sitting at our favorite cafe for a light snack followed by dinner at 黑社會, while enjoying each others' company at the same time.

Fried fish skin as starter rather than the typical steamed ground nuts/salty peanuts. It was crispy and fragrant and not too oily.

White Chrysanthemum tea to cleanse your palates.

 Braised Tofu with Shemeji

 Honey Glazed Spare Ribs

Twin Flavor Prawns; coated with Salted Egg and Wasabi Mayo. I thought this dish was full of flavor but having two or more can be too heavy for your palates.

Eight Treasure Abalone Sauce Fried Rice (so good~)

Signature Custard Bun; filled with salted egg.

Into our 4th year together (or 3 years, 4 months and 1 week to be exact), our relationship isn't always one that is painted beautifully. There are certainly times where we can get on each others' nerves with disagreements. But we tend to forgive and make up within a few minutes to a day at most depending on how big the disagreement is. It also includes the many other things we do and are willing to do for each other that keeps us together.

A man who is full of surprises, has a sense of humor, is family-oriented, is caring, makes you feel very comfortable around him (esp. with his growing belly), and makes you feel loved even though irritating at times and forgetful most of the time , it's hard to say, "I don't love you anymore".

So, for the 1224th time, "I Love You".

Question: What do you think are the 5 most important qualities or values you share in your relationship?

Ash: 1. Trust 2. Communication 3. Faithfulness 4. Understanding 5. Forgiveness

Mr. L
: 1. Trust 2. Big-heartedness 3. Understanding 4. Patience 5. Commitment

Whatever way you had spent Valentine's Day, we hope you felt known and loved!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day.

XOXO.

To My Valentines.

Planning to surprise your sweetheart? Or making little gifts for your girlfriends or loved ones?
Here's what I made for my girlfriends...

Homemade Heart Sugar Cubes

Originally, I wanted to use these Heart silicone baking cups which sis got for Mom for Christmas last year to bake cupcakes but I thought I should do something different since am sure the girls have had enough tasting of my cupcakes.

So, while searching around the house, just nice, I found 7 honey glass jars to contain my homemade heart sugar cubes. Pasted 'LOVE' Adage Tickets on each jar which I got them a while back from Made With Love and attaching them with a teabag and a small bag of marshmallows. There's going to be another mini-surprise in store for them!
